Do you have a local project to improve quality of life & community spirit in Cambuslang West that could benefit from a small grant? Our Community Activity Grant scheme is open again until 29 Nov (5pm) for applications up to £500.

Community activity grants are now available for community groups, clubs and individuals in Cambuslang West. Grants of up to £500 can be awarded to projects that enhance the quality of life and promote community spirit for local residents. The grants are provided by Cambuslang Community Council and funded by the South Lanarkshire Council Renewable Energy Fund.

GUIDANCE

BEFORE YOU APPLY, please check the following:

(1) Is your community activity in Cambuslang West? Your activity needs to be located in Central Cambuslang, Circuit, Eastfield, Greenlees, Silverbank, Vicarland or Whitlawburn. Check the map of Cambuslang West here to ensure you are located inside the red boundary of the eligible area.

(2) What do you want to use the grant for? The grants are intended to: enhance quality of life for local residents; contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful and sustainable communities; and/or promote community spirit and encourage community activity. Check the Grant Guidelines here to make sure your activity is eligible and that you can comply with the guidelines.

(3) Can you complete the application by the deadline? The closing date for applications is 5pm on Fridya, 29 November 2024. No applications will be considered after the deadline. We hope to make decisions on grant awards by the end of December 2024, and applicants will be notified directly.
