What we do
Cambuslang Community Council was set up to bridge the gap between the local authority (South Lanarkshire Council) and the community of Cambuslang. Our role is to express the views of the community to South Lanarkshire Council and other public bodies and make them aware of the needs of the area. We are also involved in organising community events and other projects to improve the area. We are one of about 1200 community councils in Scotland and, like others, we are made up of elected and nominated volunteers from the community. Any-one in the area can stand for membership of the Community Council and our monthly meetings are open to all.
