As part of the improvements to the Main Street, Cambuslang Community Council are calling for gardeners to help set up a ‘Cambuslang in Bloom’ group. John Bachtler of Cambuslang Community Council said: “The Community Council plans to set up a new Cambuslang in Bloom group to take forward the plans to install planters and baskets in the Main Street.
“We are calling on any gardeners interested in being involved to contact us. We also want to involve the schools in the project. Some have already said they might want to sponsor one or two of the planters. The Universal Connections youth club, who are setting up a gardening group, are also keen to lend their support. This is a community project and we want as many people as possible to be involved in improving our Main Street”.
