Following the publication of our survey of the impact of bank closures in Cambuslang, the story has made  local and national headlines!

Our local paper, the Rutherglen Reformer gave it a double-page spread, and the story was reported in The Scotsman, Herald Scotland, The National, Evening Times, the i paper, the Scottish Daily Mail, and the Scottish Financial News.  The Press Association put out the story too, so it was picked by many regional and local papers in Scotland and other parts of the UK, including the Helensburgh Advertiser, Central Fife Times and Irvine Times.

Great to get such coverage of the problems, and we hope that it will contribute to the work of the Scottish Affairs Committee Inquiry into Access to Financial Services with a view to finding solutions to the challenge of towns becoming unbanked. The report has been submitted to the Committee and is now published on the House of Commons website.
