Cambuslang Community  Council and Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust have been awarded a grant of £25,000  by Transport Scotland to undertake a feasibility study for a new walkway and cycle path along the south bank of the River Clyde from Cambuslang Bridge to Dalmarnock Bridge. The new path is intended to complement the national cycle route on the north bank of the river and provide a green, off-road loop for walkers and cyclists. It will allow access to new areas of urban woodland along the river and provide a direct link for communities in Cambuslang, Eastfield and Rutherglen to walk or cycle to the Cuningar Forest P
ark which is opening in 2015. The feasibility study is being undertaken by consultants Ironside Farrar and should be competed by the end of March 2015
