The first issue of the Cambuslang Future newsletter is here! The newsletter is published by the Cambuslang Future group, set up by Cambuslang Community Council. The group is a mix of local residents and shopkeepers working on a regeneration plan for Cambuslang town centre, focusing on improvements to the Main Street. Over the past year, they have been collaborating with the Economic Development department of South Lanarkshire Council to develop a regeneration strategy. A first draft will go before the SLC Community & Enterprise Resources Committee on 4 June 2019 and then go out for consultation to residents and the business community.
The newsletter will be published four times a year to keep everyone up to date on what Cambuslang Future is doing and to invite local residents and business people to get involved. The first issue is available in local shops, dentist/doctor surgeries, churches, the library and Cambuslang Institute.
