During 2018, Friends of Holmhills Wood Community Park are holding meet-ups on the first Sunday of each month. Come along for an informal walk, chat, cuppa and (if you want) you could help with tasks to improve the Park.
The sun shone for the February meet-up of the Friends group, and after a birdwatch they had refreshments whilst enjoying a stunning view from the new bench at the top of the hill in the Park – as shown in the photo above. The plan for the next meet-up on Sunday 4th March is to check on frog activity, but if it’s too cold for frog spawning there may be a walk through the woods.
Looking ahead, the 1st April date coincides with Easter Sunday and the Friends are thinking of a family-friendly Easter egg trail with clues. Watch this space!
