Central Cambuslang Tenants and Residents Association has been shortlisted for the Tenants and Residents Organisation of the Year Award 2015. The TIS National Awards are intended to recognise and celebrate outstanding work of those who are making a difference in their community and the housing sector. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and Gala Dinner taking place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Saturday, 6 June 2015, hosted by Glasgow-born actress, Libby McArthur. The shortlisting of Central Cambuslang Tenants and Residents Association reflects their hard work in improving the environment for those living in the central Cambuslang area, including their initiatives to create a sensory garden and decorate the underpass under the Main Street. Hilda Allison (pictured), secretary of the Association, and Cambuslang Community Council member, said “we are delighted to have been nominated for this prestigious national award which is real recognition for the hard work of the Association over the past few years”.
