Proposals for a new-look Cambuslang Main Street are being presented at an exhibition on Wednesday, 14th June, 10 am – 2 pm, at Cambuslang Parish Church Hall (Arnott Way).

The proposals have been generated from a project run by Healthy n Happy CDT, together with Cambuslang Community Council, called ‘Rethinking our Town Centres: Main Streets for People, Business and Community‘. The feasibility study is intended to achieve high-quality streets that suits the needs of all users, in particular people of all ages walking and cycling, while taking account of the needs of business and aiming to improve the local environment.

The public consultation events will be facilitated by SYSTRA, the international engineering and consulting group. This study is the first step in developing a plan for making the main street thoroughfares of Cambuslang (and Rutherglen) for the people, businesses and community.
