Following a recent South Lanarkshire Community and Enterprise Resources Committee meeting, approval was granted for SLC to undertake a review of a Residents’ Parking Permit Zone (RPPZs) in the vicinity of Cambuslang railway station.
This preliminary consultation is now underway and SLC is seeking to gauge the views on the geographical extent of the RPPZ.  The consultation will run from the end of November 2018 to the end of January 2019, a period of eight weeks.
Following the analysis of the responses to this preliminary consultation, should the Council decide to proceed with the promotion of a new RPPZ then a formal, statutory consultation will be undertaken on the proposals.
The preliminary consultation involves various consultees such as community councils, business groups and / or premises and other Council partners.  Residents, commuters and business or employees working within the area will also have an opportunity to take part in the process via an online questionnaire and this will be promoted via the Council’s website, social media and local press.
A link to the questionnaires and further background can be found on the Council’s website at the following address here.
