Cambuslang Community Council is pleased to welcome two new members, Dominic Sinclair and Scott Smith, whose membership was approved at the Community Council meeting on 15 September.

Dominic Sinclair is a youth worker at the Universal Connections  in Cambuslang, organising activities for young people in the area. He is joining the Community Council to get young people more involved in decisions on improving the local area and hopes that some young people will come along to Community Council meetings to give their views on local issues.

Scott Smith lives locally and is Chief Commercial Officer with BiP Solutions Ltd in Glasgow. He is a keen triathlete and can often be seen running through Cambuslang. His particular interests on Cambuslang Community Council are protecting and improving greenspaces, child-friendly services and cycling issues.

Cambuslang Community Council Chair, John Taylor, said: “we are delighted to welcome Dominic and Scott onto the Community Council and look forward to their contribution to the discussions and work of the Council in the community.”
