The new Cambuslang Banking Hub is coming to 158 Main Street!

Following the successful application for Cambuslang to be a ‘Community Access to Cash Pilot’, Cambuslang Community Council is working with the Post Office and major banks to test various initiatives in Cambuslang to improve access to cash. The most important part of the Pilot is the new Cambuslang Banking Hub. This will be set up at 158 Main Street, with the Post Office providing counter banking services, and the major banks providing an advice service. (The launch of the Banking Hub has been delayed because of lockdown, and we are now planning for a launch date on 6 April 2021.

What do local residents want from the Cambuslang Banking Hub?

Last autumn, we conducted a community survey with almost 1,100 responses. Thank you to everyone who took part. You can find the results of the community survey here.

What do local businesses want from the Cambuslang Banking Hub?

To ensure the Banking Hub is successful, we also need feedback from business on what services they want. If you run a local business, we would be very grateful if you could complete the Cambuslang Business Survey here.

We would also like to identify any businesses interested in offering Cashback, which is a new scheme being trialled in Cambuslang in other pilot areas. Further details on the Cashback scheme are here.

If you you run a local business and would like to offer Cashback, please email cambuslangcomco@aol.com, and we can arrange for this to be set up and for you to be paid a fee of £50 per month for your support.
